MacCormac's Criminal Justice League Participates in SkyRise Chicago Stairclimb

Thursday, November 9, 2017

On Sunday, November 5th, Abraham Martinez, MacCormac College's Criminal Justice Program Director, and members of his Criminal Justice League climbed 103 floors, conquering all 1,209 steps to the top of the Willis Tower in participation with the SkyRise Chicago initiative.

SkyRise Chicago is an initiative to raise money and benefit the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. The Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, formerly the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), is the global leader in physical medicine and rehabilitation for adults and children with the most severe, complex conditions - from traumatic brain and spinal cord injury to stroke, amputation and cancer-related impairment.

Overall, it was a fantastic accomplishment for our Criminal Justice League. They started together as a team and ended together as well. We are very proud to share this experience with our students.

We would like to thank all of the faculty that donated to make this event possible! We plan on doing this event next year and will plan accordingly to recruit additional team members.
