Learn 2 Laugh 2017 Highlights

Tuesday, June 6, 2017

The 5th Annual Learn 2 Laugh Fundraiser, hosted on Wednesday April 26th at the famous Laugh Factory in Chicago, featured a night full of laughter, fun, food, prizes, and an amazing audience. James Stephens III was an amazing host to the event causing everyone to be in tears laughing before the first performer even got to the stage! Angela Riccio was the first comedian and had an amazing set playing well off of the audience while in her character Dolly Amore'. Then Jeff Altman came to the stage and nearly tore the roof down. You may know Jeff from many different shows in the past, he had been featured on The Late Show with David Letterman more than any other comedian in history, he had multiple Showtime specials, and he even was on The Dukes of Hazzard. Finally, after everyone couldn't take any more laughter, A.J. Jamal took the stage and made everyone cry with even more laughter, sides we're most definitely being split. A.J. Jamal has not missed one beat since his time on In Living Color and Def Comedy Jam. His routine is as fresh and funny as ever.

Finally, after all the laughter was had and done raffle prizes were awarded and final donations were given. The raffle prizes ranged from trips to the Caribbean to a Country Music Lovers Package to a Chicago Sports Package. On behalf of all of MacCormac College we would like to thank everyone that purchased a ticket, donated prizes or money, and/or bid on our raffle prizes a huge thank you. We did end up reaching our goal which is going to go a very long way for us. By reaching the goal we are going to be able to grow our scholarship offerings, improve the programs that we are already running and upgrade the technology around the college in order to remain current with what the world has to offer. All of the contributions for the show did not go unnoticed and will be appreciated forever. We hope that everyone had a wonderful time and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
